AC Milan will resume their 2026-27 Europa League campaign tonight as they take on Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.
It promises to be a difficult test for Ruben Amorim’s men against a team and a club that are well accustomed to European nights by now. Not only that, but Danny Röhl’s Roten Bullen have not lost any of their 15 competitive games this season across all competitions.
In his pre-match press conference Amorim responded to some of the criticism received in the media. Speaking of which, here is how the Italian newspapers look this morning.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan and Juve, it’s up to you. Over to Amorim and Spalletti to redeem us [Italy] in Europe. Young devils on the hunt for goals: Camarda and Cisse in Salzburg.”
Corriere dello Sport: “All eyes on Camarda. Ramos on the bench: first start for the youngster. Amorim: ‘I need time’.”
Tuttosport: “Amorim discovers Camarda. A chance in Salzburg, at last. The U21 striker in the stadium that launched Haaland. The coach: ‘The future? I’ve already spoken with Cardinale about next summer…'”
QS: “Milan, Amorim looks to the future. Europa League: the Rossoneri head to Salzburg with Camarda in the starting line-up.”
