TGL players are on the move ahead of the third season of the men's simulator golf series, and rosters have been reformed.

Co-founded by Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, the indoor golf league launched its inaugural season in 2025. Following the launch, a women's league was established, although some favored a combined team format featuring both men and women. McIlroy noted that an all-women's league allows players to independently grow their game. The women's league is set to start November 8th.

The men's league already has two seasons under its belt, though team rosters will see new faces this season, with some notable departures. Shane Lowry has already been traded, and Kevin Kisner is out - days after publicly feuding with McIlroy.

TGL teams originally consisted of four players total and three in the lineup for each match. But change is coming and they will now carry five players throughout the 2027 season.

Jupiter's Kisner, New York's Xander Schauffele, Boston's Adam Scott and Atlanta's Lucas Glover are no longer participating in the league. Taking their spots at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, are rising stars Michael Brennan, Ben James, Blades Brown, and Jackson Koivun.

Boston Common Golf acquired former Open Championship winner Lowry from The Bay Golf Club in the first-ever trade in TGL history, and he’ll play with fellow Irishman and golf legend McIlroy.

The 37-year-old has been in recent headlines, as the Tour star finished in the middle of the pack in India after four-time PGA Tour winner Kisner called him out for taking appearance fees and covering the paycheck as wanting to ‘grow the game.’

“That is such a dog—- comment,” Kisner said in regards to McIlroy’s comments about expanding the reach of golf in India. “But I guess for the right price, we could all say that comment (about growing the game). He doesn’t want to globally expand in India, he wants to get his $10 million bucks and go play in India.”

McIlroy has recently been open regarding his search for a better work/life balance as his daughter Poppy grows older, but he was seen teeing it off in New Delhi where he couldn’t use his driver and where he also made an half an hour appearance at a Bloomberg forum to talk poorly on LIV Golf.

“I know there’s a pile of guys that got paid for that event. How else would you get that event in India with eight billion people in the middle of the city?,” continued Kisner. “And Rory’s not even hitting a driver this week. You think he wants to go play a tournament where he can’t use his number one weapon? So give me a break.”

Kisner continued pointing out there are hidden reasons behind the career grand slam winner being there in the first place, but also noted that anyone on the Fore Play podcast would be in India if there was a money incentive.
