The Canaries slipped to an eighth defeat in 11 league games, on a poignant Carrow Road afternoon that saw a pre-match celebration for lifelong fan, and former joint majority shareholder, Michael Wynn Jones, who passed away recently.

Wynn Jones's wife, Delia Smith, was in attendance with a pre-match guard of honour for both sets of players formed by ex-managers and players who featured during the duo's long period in the boardroom.

Marezi slotted a 51st-minute penalty, after Jacob Wright was adjudged to have upended Abu Kamara on his latest Norfolk return.

Pelle Mattsson's fearsome shot struck the inside of a post but the Canaries were unable to muster a reply in a result which sparked fury from some sections of the home support directed towards sporting director Ben Knapper.

Clement and his players were also booed on their lap of appreciation, with chants of 'You're not fit to wear the shirt' clearly audible.

The Belgian spoke exclusively to the Pinkun on Saturday afternoon at Carrow Road.
