The Buffalo Bills continue their 2026 NFL season with a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens at home at 1 p.m. at Highmark Stadium. The Bills offense will play its part, as always.
While game plans, coaching, and strategy will play a role, sometimes a big emphasis will sit with some individual players. In terms of the Bills offense, who could those be?
Here are Bills Wire's three potential X-factors on the Bills (5-1) offense against the Ravens (4-3) in Week 8:
This one is obvious and we try to avoid the low-hanging fruit. However, it is merited this time. You can't ignore the last time these two teams played each other: The season opener last season which Buffalo won in a 41-40 shootout.
Allen might need to do a lot of heavy lifting.
If receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) can return to the lineup, the Ravens will likely have cornerback Marlon Humphrey following him around the field. That means Coleman needs to keep up his recent standout pace as tight end Dalton Kincaid (chest) is also questionable to play against the Baltimore.
Former Bengals pass rusher turned Ravens leading sack artist Trey Hendrickson leads the Ravens in that category this year with three. With Tavius Robinson out, Hendrickson is the clear threat off the edge now and as the blindside blocker for Allen, Dawkins will have to keep Hendrickson at bay throughout the game.
