The draw for the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup has been completed with Liverpool taking on Bournemouth. While Arsenal's slayers Fleetwood Town face Everton or Newcastle.
Midweek action began on Tuesday as Arsenal were humiliatingly knocked out by 18th-place League Two side Fleetwood Town on penalties. Mikel Arteta's Premier League champions were 1-0 down at half-time, but despite Viktor Gyokeres' equaliser five minutes into the second half, were unable to win the game, which was made harder by Max Dowman's red card.
Bruno Guimaraes missed the all-important spot kick for the visitors as Conor Haughey stepped up to smash in the winning spot kick as the side 84 places lower in the English football pyramid caused one of the biggest shocks in modern football history.
Meanwhile, League One Bradford City booked their place by beating fellow third-tier side Peterborough United 2-0.
And on Wednesday, Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties in a crazy shootout which saw some of the most clinical spot kicks, and some of the worst, especially from Wesley Fofana, whose dreadful miss ended the contest.
Elsewhere, Manchester City booked their place by beating Brighton on penalties, Bournemouth battered Aston Villa 3-0 at home, Sunderland held off Brentford's comeback to win 3-2 at the Stadium of Light, while Crystal Palace beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage.
There is one final fourth-round tie on Thursday, with Everton hosting Newcastle.
