It is no surprise that the Jacksonville Jaguars are on top of the Baltimore Ravens by two possessions at halftime. The Ravens have an undrafted rookie at quarterback, while the Jaguars have an MVP finalist from last season in Trevor Lawrence.
On their opening drive, Jacksonville scored a touchdown set up by a 52-yard reception from their rookie tight end, Nate Boerkircher. But Baltimore’s defense was able to contain the Jaguars’ offense for most of the first half until Parker Washington broke away for a 50-yard touchdown just before halftime to extend Jacksonville’s lead to 17-3.
Here is a look at Washington’s touchdown, courtesy of the NFL’s official social media:
Baltimore’s quarterback, Joe Fagnano, is seven of 11 for 30 yards through the first half. Running back Derrick Henry has lined up in the wildcat and taken a direct snap multiple times. He has 51 rushing yards and -3 passing yards so far. The Ravens will receive the ball in the second half.
