WWE Raw aired live from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. The show featured two championship matches, a brutal No Disqualification Match between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and major developments involving The Vision, The Judgment Day and The Bloodline.
Adam Pearce, Sami Zayn and Je’Von Evans
Adam Pearce opened the show by announcing that Stephanie Vaquer was not medically cleared to compete. Her scheduled number-one contender’s match was consequently canceled, and Becky Lynch would instead challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship in the main event.
Sami Zayn interrupted Pearce and complained that WWE had flown him to Fresno for promotional work without placing him on the show. After dismissing the fans and taking shots at Roman Reigns’ absence, Zayn claimed that nobody in wrestling history had achieved more with less. He credited himself with elevating The Bloodline and helping WWE secure its current television success, then declared himself one of the most versatile wrestlers of all time.
Zayn argued that fans only recognize greatness when wrestlers repeatedly tell them how great they are. He mocked Trick Williams, CM Punk and Roman Reigns before criticizing the numerous wrestlers targeting his Undisputed WWE Championship. When Zayn questioned why Je’Von Evans had ever felt entitled to interrupt him, The Young OG came to the ring.
Evans told Zayn to stop complaining because holding the championship naturally made him a target. He warned that he wanted to become the best in WWE and would gladly take Zayn’s championship before Crown Jewel so he could face Roman Reigns himself. Zayn responded that Evans was nowhere near his level and told him to return in five to eight years once he had realized his potential.
Before Zayn could leave, Pearce gave him an opportunity to earn the respect he demanded. Pearce booked Zayn to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Evans immediately.
Undisputed WWE Championship
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Je’Von Evans
Evans refused to be intimidated by the champion, answering Zayn’s early aggression with a standing moonsault and a bouncing hurricanrana for a pair of two-counts. Zayn slowed the challenger with a clothesline and worked him over in the corner, but Evans used his speed and athleticism to send the champion outside.
Zayn gained control by driving Evans face-first into the apron and remained on top through the commercial break. Evans eventually rallied with rapid strikes and the Red Dot for a near-fall. Zayn answered with an Exploder Suplex into the turnbuckles, but Evans countered the Helluva Kick with a superkick before landing a frog splash for another two-count.
Zayn considered walking away from the match until PENTA appeared with his Money in the Bank briefcase and a referee. Evans nearly capitalized with a running reverse Sliced Bread, but Bron Breakker attacked PENTA and took possession of the briefcase. Evans wiped out Breakker with a flying crossbody, only for the distraction to cost him. Zayn avoided the OG Cutter, drove Evans into the turnbuckles with another Exploder and retained his title with the Helluva Kick.
Winner: Sami Zayn via Pinfall to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship
After the match, Breakker assaulted Evans until PENTA intervened. Bronson Reed and Logan Paul then arrived, allowing The Vision to overwhelm both men. Breakker delivered Super Spears to Evans and PENTA, while Reed hit each man with the Tsunami before The Vision stood tall.
Raw will air at the earlier time of 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT next week from Brooklyn, New York.
The Judgment Day Clubhouse
Liv Morgan entered The Judgment Day’s clubhouse visibly upset about having to defend her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch. Raquel Rodriguez promised to set the tone by defeating Iyo Sky, while Roxanne Perez attempted to reassure the champion.
Morgan remained convinced that Adam Pearce and the women’s locker room had been conspiring against her since what she called the “Santiago Screw Job.” She nevertheless vowed to defeat Lynch and handle the situation herself. Dominik Mysterio stayed behind to speak privately with Morgan as the others departed.
PENTA and Je’Von Evans Receive a Crown Jewel Title Match
Adam Pearce visited PENTA and Je’Von Evans in the trainer’s room following The Vision’s attack. Neither man wanted praise for his earlier performance, as both were focused on revenge and capturing the World Tag Team Championship.
Pearce made their request official, announcing that PENTA and Evans would challenge Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed for the titles at WWE Crown Jewel.
No Disqualification Match
Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria
Bayley immediately took Valkyria down and introduced chairs, kendo sticks and a table into the match. Valkyria responded by whipping Bayley with her belt and sending her shoulder-first into the steel steps. The fight spilled around ringside, where Bayley delivered a flying clothesline from the steps before Valkyria dropped her with a neckbreaker onto the knee. Bayley later turned the momentum by driving Valkyria through a Slim Jim table with a suicide dive.
Valkyria controlled the action after the commercial break and used a kendo stick to apply a chin lock. Bayley fought free and punished her rival with both the kendo stick and Valkyria’s belt. After wedging a chair between the turnbuckles, Bayley drove Valkyria into it with a running sunset bomb for a two-count.
Valkyria raised a chair to block Bayley’s flying elbow drop and followed with the Doctor Bomb onto the chair for another near-fall. Bayley survived a modified Night Wing across two chairs and escaped the Last Breath when both women spilled outside. She then hit a Bayley-to-Belly onto a chair, but Valkyria continued fighting and countered another attack with a spinning wheel kick.
Bayley ultimately countered the Peripeteia by powerbombing Valkyria through a trash can on the floor. She placed Valkyria across a table and crashed through her with a flying elbow drop. Back inside the ring, Bayley trapped Valkyria in a CrossFace assisted by a kendo stick and forced her to submit.
Winner: Bayley via Submission
946 Sends a Warning to Solo Sikoa
Royce Keys mocked The Bloodline for believing it had regained control before he called the next play. Keys challenged Solo Sikoa to face him one-on-one in Brooklyn and promised to do to Solo what he had already done to The Usos.
Iyo Sky vs. Raquel Rodriguez
Sky used her speed to frustrate Rodriguez, attacking her legs and repeatedly applying chokeholds. Rodriguez’s power repeatedly allowed her to escape, but Sky sent her outside with a roundhouse kick and followed with a suicide dive and a flying crossbody from the barricade.
Rodriguez gained control by knocking Sky from the top turnbuckle and applied a Canadian backbreaker after the commercial break. Sky mounted another comeback with strikes, a low enzuigiri and a running basement dropkick. She later countered a chokeslam with a DDT and drove both feet into Rodriguez following a roll-through.
Rodriguez blocked Over the Moonsault and responded with a running crossbody for a two-count. Sky remained resilient, countering the Tejana Bomb with a hurricanrana into the turnbuckles before landing a missile dropkick and the Bullet Train Attack. Rodriguez raised her knees to block another Over the Moonsault attempt, but Sky escaped a second Tejana Bomb and rolled her up for the victory.
Winner: Iyo Sky via Pinfall
Roxanne Perez attacked Sky immediately after the bell. Rodriguez joined the assault with a Western Lariat, and The Judgment Day finished Sky with a Big Boot and side Russian leg sweep combination.
The Bloodline Responds to 946
Solo Sikoa accepted Royce Keys’ challenge for a match in Brooklyn. Solo dismissed 946’s warnings and declared that Keys was the one who would not be safe when they met, promising to remind him that The Bloodline runs WWE.
Chad Gable and Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page and Big Cass
Gable and Lee used quick tags and technical wrestling to control Page in the opening stages. Big Cass changed the complexion of the match with his size, but Gable sent him outside and landed an Orihara moonsault. Lee then used Gable as a launching platform for a somersault plancha onto both opponents.
Page and Cass isolated Gable during the commercial break. Gable eventually countered the Ego’s Edge with an Angle Slam and escaped Cass’ Bossman Slam before throwing the big man with a release German suplex. Lee received the tag and exploded into the match with dives, a spinning DDT and the Hidden Blade for a two-count.
Page pulled Gable from the apron and delivered the Ego’s Edge on the floor, leaving Gable in need of medical attention. Lee was forced to continue alone and nearly pinned Cass with a sunset flip, but the numbers became too much. Cass dropped Lee with a Big Boot, allowing Page to finish him with the Ego’s Edge.
Winners: Ethan Page and Big Cass via Pinfall
Becky Lynch Addresses Liv Morgan
Becky Lynch mocked Stephanie Vaquer for being sidelined so soon after Lynch predicted that another injury would take her out. She promised that their eventual match would carry even higher stakes because she intended to regain the Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan first.
Lynch said that Morgan could not defeat her in a fair fight and expressed disappointment that someone she once supported had failed to help the women’s division flourish. She vowed to hold Morgan accountable and restore the championship to a fighting woman in the main event.
The Vision Accepts PENTA and Je’Von Evans’ Challenge
Cathy Kelley asked The Vision whether PENTA and Je’Von Evans represented legitimate threats to the World Tag Team Championship. Logan Paul dismissed the challengers and claimed that asking for the match was one of the dumbest decisions they could have made.
Bronson Reed warned that PENTA and Evans had invited themselves to a Spear and Tsunami party. Bron Breakker then formally accepted their Crown Jewel challenge on The Vision’s behalf.
Next week in Brooklyn, Solo Sikoa will face Royce Keys. John Cena will also return to Raw for the first time since retiring from in-ring competition.
WWE Women’s World Championship
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Becky Lynch
Lynch controlled the champion’s arm early and repeatedly frustrated her with counters. She avoided Oblivion, landed a step-up enzuigiri and drove Morgan to the floor before following with a leg drop on the apron and a flying forearm. Morgan took control during the commercial break by sending Lynch shoulder-first into the ring post and applying a single-leg crab against the turnbuckles.
Lynch rallied with clotheslines, kicks, a leaping shoulder tackle and an Exploder Suplex. Morgan answered with a springboard Codebreaker, while Lynch later delivered an avalanche side Russian leg sweep for a two-count. Morgan powerbombed Lynch from the turnbuckles and reapplied the single-leg crab, but Lynch escaped and turned a butterfly suplex attempt into a cross armbreaker.
The challenger’s Superplex and DDT produced another near-fall. Their fight moved outside, where Lynch hit the Manhandle Slam on the announce table before Morgan launched her over the steel steps and delivered a sunset-flip powerbomb on the floor. Both women beat the referee’s count and continued trading major moves inside the ring. Morgan landed Oblivion, but Lynch survived and answered with the Manhandle Slam for a close two-count.
The Judgment Day surrounded ringside as Lynch applied the Dis-Arm-Her. Morgan reached the bottom rope before throwing Lynch outside, where Roxanne Perez grabbed her. Raquel Rodriguez accidentally struck Perez with a Big Boot, allowing Lynch to wipe out The Judgment Day with a cannonball senton from the apron.
Lynch countered another Oblivion with the Manhandle Slam, but The Judgment Day broke up the pin and caused the disqualification.
Winner: Becky Lynch via Disqualification; Liv Morgan remained WWE Women’s World Champion
The Judgment Day continued attacking Lynch after the bell, with Rodriguez planting her with the Tejana Bomb. Chelsea Green ran down and briefly fought off Perez and Rodriguez, but Morgan stopped her with a Codebreaker. Iyo Sky then joined the fight, striking Morgan and wiping out the opposition with an Asai moonsault before Green dropped Morgan with the Unprettier.
Perez knocked Green from the ring as Tiffany Stratton arrived with her Money in the Bank briefcase and a referee. Stratton landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and prepared to cash in, but Dominik Mysterio pulled Morgan from the ring before the bell could sound. The Judgment Day escaped with the champion as Raw went off the air.
