Joe Fagnano began his career in the NFL with his high school sweetheart, Lydia Fagnano, by his side.
The longtime couple began dating as teenagers before getting engaged in May 2025 and tying the knot in July 2026.
Joe signed with the Baltimore Ravens in April 2026 and played in his first NFL game that November against the Buffalo Bills. In an interview with Matt King shortly after the game, Lydia explained that she is a “third generation Bills fan” and that she was “so proud” of her husband for making his NFL debut.
“I teared up a little bit out there just because I couldn’t believe it was real,” she recalled. “To do it where we have built such a community and such a family up there was so special. To have our family and friends in the crowd ... was truly a gift from God. It was incredible.”
From meeting as teenagers to their new life in Baltimore, here’s everything to know about Joe Fagnano’s wife, Lydia Fagnano.
Lydia attended D’Youville University, where she studied health, healthcare administration and management, per her LinkedIn. She earned her MBA from the same school in January 2026.
She currently works as a medical device sales recruiter for Vendor Connect, a medical sales recruitment agency headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla.
Lydia and Joe began dating as teenagers at Williamsport Area High School in Williamsport, Pa.
The couple were both student athletes, with Joe playing football and Lydia running cross country and track. After graduation, she moved to Buffalo, N.Y., where she competed for Daemen University before transferring to D’Youville University. Joe, meanwhile, began his college football career at the University of Maine and finished with the University of Connecticut.
The duo were in a long-distance relationship for a total of seven years before moving to Baltimore, Md., together for Joe’s NFL career.
“This is our first time living together, living in the same city,” Lydia explained during her November 2026 interview with King. “It’s been super special.”
In May 2025, Joe got down on one knee and proposed to Lydia.
The quarterback popped the question on a beach at sunset, and the newly engaged couple later shared some photos of his proposal on Instagram.
“We’re getting married!” Lydia wrote in her caption.
Lydia and Joe tied the knot on July 11, 2026, in their hometown of Williamsport, Pa.
The newlyweds later shared photos of their special day in a joint Instagram post.

After Joe went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, he signed with the Ravens on April, 28, 2026. Lydia later recalled in her interview with King that the couple learned he made the team while sitting in the parking lot of a Krispy Kreme.
The duo subsequently moved to Baltimore and even studied the playbook during their honeymoon.
Joe made his NFL debut on Nov. 1, 2026, against the Buffalo Bills. Four days later, he made his first career NFL start against the Jacksonville Jaguars when starting quarterback Lamar Jackson and backup quarterback Tyler Huntley had to skip the Nov. 5 game due to injuries.
“I have full faith in him and I’m just so proud of him,” Lydia told King.
