Former Michigan State defensive lineman signed by Houston Texans

The NFL career of former Michigan State football standout defensive tackle Naquan Jones will continue. The journeyman is now a veteran in the league, and on Monday, it was announced that he was signed by the Houston Texans for his second stint on the team.

Jones last played for the Texans in the 2025-26 NFL season. After that season, he was signed by the team, only to be released as part of final roster cuts this past August. He spent some time on the Minnesota Vikings practice squad in September before being signed by the San Francisco 49ers. He was released on October 20, and now finds another roster spot with the Texans.

Jones went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft but has managed to put together a nice career in the NFL. He's now been a part of seven different NFL teams in his career.
