Ansu Fati missed the start of the season due to injury and he is now set for another spell on the sidelines. It is thought that the Spaniard sustained a thigh injury during the draw against Lille OSC on Sunday afternoon.

The previous week, Fati started his first Ligue 1 game of the season. Whilst he started the match against SC Freiburg on Thursday from the bench, he came on in the second half and netted in a 3-0 win. He then made back-to-back starts in Ligue 1, starting in the No.10 position against LOSC at the Stade Louis II.

However, he only managed 15 minutes before being forced off. He was replaced by Mathys Detourbet. It is thought that Fati has sustained a hamstring injury, the gravity of which has yet to be ascertained. Speaking post-match, Filipe Luís said that they had to be “careful” with the former Barcelona forward.
