A moment that appeared to be part of WWE's usual ringside entertainment has now landed the company and superstar Montez Ford in legal trouble. A security guard who was working at a Monday Night Raw event in Illinois has filed a 14-count lawsuit, alleging that Ford performed an unwanted 'lap dance' on him during a live broadcast, reported POST Wrestling. According to the guard, the situation had become even more serious as video clips went viral on social media, which would put him through ridicule and emotional stress. The 14-count suit contains claims of assault, battery, infliction of emotional stress, and violation of the Illinois Gender Violence Act. The case is scheduled for a management hearing on December 10.

According to POST Wrestling, the lawsuit was filed on October 14, 2026 by Noel Lucas who is a Cook County Sheriff’s officer in the Circuit Court of Cook County. The defendants are WWE, Montez Ford whose real name is Kenneth Crawford and WWE subsidiary Event Services, LLC.

The alleged attack took place on July 6 during the Monday Night Raw show at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Lucas was working as an off-duty security guard when Ford and his Street Profits tag team partner, Angelo Dawkins, entered the ring for a match.

According to the complaint, as quoted by the media outlet, Ford approached Lucas without warning and began performing a sexually suggestive dance directly in front of him. The lawsuit alleges that Ford repeatedly moved his hips toward Lucas and made unwanted physical contact with his leg.

What seemed like a fun wrestling move to the audience was no laughing matter for Lucas, as per his legal complaint. Lucas insists that he never agreed to the encounter.

The situation allegedly became more distressing after WWE and Ford shared the footage on social media, where Lucas says it attracted hundreds of thousands of views. Lucas claims people recognized him at his courthouse job the following day and mocked him by imitating Ford's movements.

He further alleges that his children faced mockery at school because of the viral video. Lucas also alleges that WWE and Ford improperly used his recognizable image for commercial purposes.

According to POST Wrestling, the security guard is seeking unspecified financial compensation, punitive damages, legal expenses and an order preventing further unauthorized use of his identity.
