Manchester City face the possibility of relegation or expulsion from the Premier League if their appeal against the guilty verdict fails.

The Sky Blues have maintained their innocence throughout, but as things stand, they have been declared guilty and are facing severe punishment.

One of the big debates on social media in recent weeks has been about City’s star players and where they could end up if their club is thrown out of the Premier League.

Paul Scholes has now joined that debate.

Paul Scholes names three Man City players who will join Arsenal if they get relegated

Manchester City’s squad features many incredible players.

Of course, if given a choice, every team in the world would try to sign Erling Haaland. He is the best striker in the world and would improve any side, especially Arsenal.

However, Scholes thinks the Norwegian will end up at Real Madrid, along with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Enzo Fernandez.

The Manchester United legend has backed Elliot Anderson to go to Barcelona, while he thinks Marc Guehi will end up at a club he almost joined before City – Liverpool.

The three other names put in front of Scholes were Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly, and the pundit had the same answer for all three of them.

For each name, Scholes replied in a clip released by The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast: “Arsenal!”

Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly to Arsenal?

Of course, all of the above are speculation, and there’s no guarantee that any of it will happen. But Arsenal fans can’t be too upset with Scholes’ picks.

The Gunners are short of options on the left wing, and a player like Doku, despite his inconsistency, would be a fantastic addition in that position.

Cherki would be an old-school Arsenal signing. If Arsene Wenger was still the manager, we are convinced that he would’ve landed Cherki before Manchester City even considered him.

Finally, O’Reilly. Arsenal don’t really need another left-back, nor do they need a midfielder. In our opinion, Myles Lewis-Skelly is better in both roles and would start ahead of him.

If it were up to us, it would be a big yes to Doku and Cherki, and then perhaps swap O’Reilly for Antoine Semenyo.
