According to Football Insider, Leeds United could be handed an opportunity to sign Harvey Elliott on a permanent deal when the January transfer window opens. The club have reportedly maintained a long-standing interest in the Liverpool midfielder and continue to monitor his situation closely.
Elliott’s current loan spell at Valencia is expected to be cut short, with the Spanish club reportedly preparing to terminate the arrangement in January. The 23-year-old has struggled for opportunities, failing to start a match and enduring a frustrating spell in Spain.
Despite being under contract until 2028, Elliott no longer has a future at Liverpool under Andoni Iraola. The Merseysiders are said to be open to a sale rather than allowing the midfielder’s value to decline further.
The former Fulham prospect has also experienced difficult loan periods with Aston Villa and Valencia, leading to questions over his development. However, it is claimed that Elliott favours a permanent move elsewhere in England as he looks to restart his career.
Leeds are believed to be among the clubs best placed to take advantage of the situation. With Valencia expected to send him back to Anfield in January, the Whites could move quickly to secure a deal.
