Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, better known by the singular name of Neymar, is considered one of the best players of his generation and an icon of Brazilian football.
In recent years, his net worth has increased significantly due to a move to Saudi Arabia, and Al-Hilal. However, he has since returned to Brazil in the twilight of his career.
Starting his career with Santos, the boy wonder soon caught the eye of all of European football’s big hitters. Barcelona eventually won the race for his services, with Neymar joining the Catalan club in 2013 at the tender age of 21. He was world-class at Barcelona, partnering with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to form 'MSN'; it was one of the most formidable attacks in the history of the sport, seeing them win the Champions League in 2015.
However, he wasn't happy as Messi continued to take the spotlight. With the Brazilian wanting to be the main superstar, he completed a blockbuster world-record £198 million transfer to PSG in 2017, where he remained until the summer of 2023, before joining Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. The talented forward has now made his long-awaited and emotional return to his first club, Santos, in what is surely the final few seasons of his illustrious career, especially after his international retirement.
Due to his success on and off the pitch, Neymar has built up incredible wealth under his name. Due to this, here at GIVEMESPORT, we have analysed everything you need to know about the Brazilian's wealth.
According to celebritynetworth.com, the Brazilian superstar has a net worth of £336.6 million, which equates to $450 million. Interestingly, at the start of 2023, as per the same website, his net worth was £160m. It highlights how his move to Saudi Arabia increased and swelled his wealth even further.
Forbes, which tracks annual earnings rather than net worth, estimates Neymar banked $38m (around £28.4m) in the 12 months before the 2026 World Cup – just $10m of it on the pitch, with the other $28m coming from off-field deals.
His net worth is also helped due to off-field endorsements and sponsorships, which include Puma and Red Bull. As highlighted below, as of October 2026, Neymar is the third-richest footballer currently competing at the top of the professional game. Now into his second spell at Santos, here is everything you need to know about the Brazilian's net worth through his salary and off-field investments.

Now at Santos, Neymar earns far less than at his previous clubs. According to a report by The Daily Mail, the Brazilian superstar makes £135k-a-month, but this is further complemented by the fact he has retained 90% of his image rights in a deal similar to his first stint at the club. Neymar's pay at Al Hilal was estimated at between $80m and $100m (around £60m-£75m) a year, according to CelebrityNetWorth. The wages being handed out in the Middle East have caught the eye for their staggering figures, even by football's steep standards, and Neymar's deal with Al Hilal was a prime example of that.
It was a drastic rise to his previous wage, which, as per FootMercato, Neymar’s old contract with PSG earned him just under £32 million a year. Breaking this down to a weekly wage, he picked up £617,000 for every seven days of work. Despite this, it was still far below the salary of PSG’s other star men at the time, Messi and Mbappe, which was perhaps a point of contention at the notoriously drama-filled club.
The move saw Neymar leave Paris Saint-Germain, with the Parisians earning a reported fee of €90m (around £77m). By adding Neymar to their summer collection, which already boasted the likes of Ruben Neves, Malcom, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Kalidou Koulibaly, the Saudi Pro League side showed their intent in world football.
Despite his luxury wealth, Neymar's earnings still don't come close to Ronaldo's. The Portuguese superstar has showcased his quality at Al Nassr after joining at the start of 2023. Forbes estimates his on-field earnings at $235m (around £176m) over the past year – roughly £3.4 million a week.
Born on February 5th, 1992, Neymar is 34 years of age. He shares his birthday with another true icon of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is seven years older. Time is no longer on his side, and a string of serious injuries has only hurried the clock along, and his international retirement ensured the end is in the foreseeable future.
It came as a surprise to see him move to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 as, for all their ambition, their league is nowhere near the standards of the top leagues in Europe, where Neymar could still have performed to a fine level.
Since rejoining his boyhood club, fitness has been the defining theme. He underwent knee surgery at the end of 2025, and a thigh injury sustained in early September 2026 is expected to keep him out until November – with his Santos contract due to expire at the end of the year. The Brazilian is highly injury-prone, so it is unclear if he will continue to play for as long as others like Ronaldo.

With his low centre of gravity and elite dribbling skills, it is perhaps not a shock to know that Neymar is below 6 feet tall. He is five feet, nine inches - or 1.75 metres - which allows him to quickly change direction with the ball. Over the years, it has caused chaos for defenders as - despite his lack of strength - Neymar has glided past defenders like they aren't there. According to World Data, the average height of a Brazilian is five feet, seven inches. Therefore, Neymar is taller than the average Brazilian, even if that may seem small to people in Europe.
Neymar has proven to be not only a talented football player but also a clever investor. His smart investment decisions have played a significant role in contributing to his overall wealth, complementing his earnings from his football career. Specific details about his investments are not widely publicised, but it is believed that Neymar has started several business ventures in the world of real estate.
He reportedly owns multiple luxury properties, showcasing his wise and astute business moves. He has houses in Brazil and previously in France, where he played for PSG. This suggests that Neymar understands the importance of diversifying his assets, particularly if he wants to continue to live a luxurious life after retirement. It provides him with a sense of security once he does retire, because - as shown over the years - several footballers have had to declare bankruptcy after failing to control their money.
Alongside this, he has several sponsorship deals, including with German company Puma. He joined the team in September 2020 and the boot deal is reportedly worth £23 million per year. This is far more impressive than his previous contract, which saw him earn £11million a year with Nike over an 11-year partnership. Alongside this, Neymar also has sponsorship deals with Red Bull. He has his own cologne fragrance with Diesel, and he is an ambassador for REPLAY jeans – helping him diversify once again.
Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, he was paid £430,000 for every post on his Instagram that promoted Saudi Arabia as part of his former contract with Al-Hilal. This was coupled with a £70,000 bonus for every match the club won, while his remarkable contract also included a private plane for him to fly with it, as well as an impressive house for himself and his partner Bruna Biancardi. It was accompanied by a host of housekeepers and support staff.
With 80 goals to his name, Neymar finished his international career as the the top scorer ever for Brazil, ahead of the legendary Pele. He broke the record during Brazil's 5-1 win against Bolivia in September 2023. Yet he won just two trophies with them - a 2013 Confederations Cup and a 2016 Olympic Gold medal.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian superstar has scored over 370 goals at club level, spread across his four clubs.
