The 79-year-old is to have a film made on one of the most bizarre moments of his football career and is also reportedly set to make a cameo.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager Redknapp was involved in a unique match at Oxford City in 1994 whilst in charge of the Hammers.
Redknapp was managing the team in a friendly fixture in Oxford in which a fan was hurling abuse at West Ham striker Lee Chapman.
When an injury left the East London side down to 10 men, the racehorse owner decided to make an astonishing decision.
The 2018 winner of ITV reality show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' revealed more on 'The Jonathan Ross Show', saying: "We started the game and there was a guy next to the dugout, big West Ham fan.
"He had hammers tattooed on his arms and he had the earrings in, hammers on them. And he started after about two minutes, he said, 'We ain't got that Lee Chapman up front again this year?'.
"He kept on about Chapman all first half. He wouldn't leave me alone.
"'He's useless. Why are you playing him again?'.
"Anyway, at halftime I made five substitutions.
"So subs go on [and] I've got no more subs. After two minutes we get an injury. So now I've only got 10 men.
"So I turned to him, he's still shouting at me. I went, 'Oi, can you play as good as you talk?' He said, 'I'm better than that Chapman'.
"I went, 'Come on then, get your gear on, we'll have a look at you'."
Redknapp put the fan up front in order to see if he was better than Chapman, only for him to go on and score against the Hoops.
The ex-manager added: "I've got to be honest, on the night, he was better than Chapman."

The spectator's name was Steve Davies who said in 2013: "I just hit it. It was like time stopped still. It was the greatest moment of my life.
“After that, I was exhausted. I was on 30 cigarettes a day back then. I had a couple of cigs and a couple of beers in the first half, didn’t I?"
Earlier this year, it was announced that a film would be made based on the bizarre story.
The movie is set to star Eddie Marsan, actor in films such as 'The Gentlemen' and 'Clayface', as Redknapp and 'Mobland' star Anson Boon as Davies.
The film which is currently in production with director Ridley Scott's company Scott Free Productions among other studios.
