Eagles name Joe Milton as new starting quarterback

The Philadelphia Eagles have had enough of Tanner McKee as their starting quarterback.

The defending NFC East champs are 2-6 and in the basement. With nothing to lose as they head into Sunday's game against the New York Giants, the Eagles announced Joe Milton will be their starting quarterback.

Milton is known for having a rifle arm. He can throw the ball for incredible distance.

He was taken in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft, 193rd overall, by the New England Patriots. Milton spent time with the Dallas Cowboys last season.

He has played in five games and completed 37-of-53 passes for 424 yards with two interceptions. Milton saw action in one game as a Patriot and four with Dallas.

McKee was 0-3 since replacing Jalen Hurts as the Eagles' starting quarterback. He completed 72-of-114 passes for 638 yards with a pair of interceptions and touchdown passes.
