Wyndham Clark will be looking to continue his fine form this season at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open this week.
Clark has already won three times on the PGA Tour in 2026, including his memorable US Open victory at Shinnecock Hills back in June.
Back in May, Clark returned to the PGA Tour winners’ circle at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson after a more than two-year hiatus.
The world number five then went on to win the US Open in June, before adding yet another victory at the BMW Championship in August.
TalkingPoints
Who will win the four majors in 2027? We are already dreaming about Thursday at Augusta National!
However, Clark’s season is far from finished. He played in Japan a couple of weeks ago, is competing in Mexico this week and will finish off his year in South Africa at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December.
A win this week in Mexico for Clark would be incredibly important, and not just for him.
Clark spoke to reporters in Vallarta, Mexico, on Wednesday, ahead of the start of the VidantaWorld Mexico Open.
The 32-year-old responded when asked why his regular caddy, ‘Big Wave Dave’, is not on his bag this week.
“Yeah, so Big Wave, Big Wave Dave is at a wedding in Italy and he asked, gosh, maybe like three, four months ago if I was going to play during this week,“ Clark explained.
“Initially I said I don’t know if I’m going to play, then when we decided to. He was like, if you want me to not go — it’s one of his best friends so I was like no, go and enjoy that.
“Then my brother jumped on it and he said, I’m caddying for you, otherwise you’re not coming to the wedding. Of course I wanted my brother, too. It’s kind of fun for us. He lives in Kansas City, I live in Arizona. We see each other a good amount but not as much as we would like, so this will be a fun, special week.“
Clark’s brother will be hoping that the two-time US Open champion plays well this week so that he has a nice payday ahead of his wedding!
