Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro posted a video of him in action in the gym on his Instagram account
Pedro Porro has declared that he is "almost back" from injury for Tottenham while posting a remarkable video showing his physical prowess.
The 27-year-old has had a year to remember as, after helping Spurs swerve away from relegation, he then went on to win the World Cup as a key man for Spain. However, Porro has started just three matches for Tottenham this season so far and managed only 19 minutes of the defeat to Aston Villa before the international break after pulling up with a hamstring injury.
He suffered that on September 19 and the expectation was that the right-back would be out for around a month with the problem. Porro was in the stands with team-mates Xavi Simons and Andy Robertson to watch the north London club grab a dramatic point at Manchester United on Saturday.
Now, ahead of Spurs' games at home against Coventry on Monday night and then at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Saturday, the World Cup winner has given the supporters a boost by indicating that he is "almost back" for Roberto De Zerbi's squad in an Instagram Story post along with a lightning emoji.

Porro's words are splashed across the bottom of an impressive video of the right-back in what appears to be Tottenham's revamped Hotspur Way first team gym, leaping up from a sitting position on to a plyometric box that is as high as his chest. The Spaniard landed perfectly on top and then hopped back down to the floor again before doing exactly the same thing again moments later.
The jumps certainly seemed to suggest that Porro's hamstrings and leg muscles are in good working order and De Zerbi will be delighted to get the full-back in the fold once again.
After his injury last month, Porro had posted on social media: "Sometimes you have to stop, take a breath and start again. Now it’s time to recover and trust the process. I'll come back stronger, hungrier and more motivated than ever. This is just another obstacle on the road. See you soon."
