Gallery: ‘Milan get back on track’, ‘Super derby’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan bounced back from the midweek debacle in Bournemouth and returned to winning ways in Serie A, beating Udinese 2-0.

One goal in each half was enough against a side that have now lost six on the spin. Christian Pulisic got the first after a lovely first touch and finish from Luka Modric’s ball, then Omari Hutchinson netted his first for the club by firing in a rebound from Ardon Jashari’s shot.

The result means that the Rossoneri remain in the top four ahead of a crucial week which sees Ruben Amorim’s side face Bologna on Wednesday and Inter on Saturday in the derby.

Today’s front pages

Below are how the newspapers in Italy look this morning, with the major ones making reference to Milan’s fifth win in eight league games.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Super derby. Inter stage a big comeback to take the top spot. Milan are in the mx. What a showdown this Saturday. Pulisic helps propel the Rossoneri in Udine: they’re now in [joint] third place.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Milan, Gasp caught. Amorim’s side beats Udine 2-0 and catch up with Roma. Pulisic and Hutchinson seal a bounce-back following the European flop.”

QS: “Milan get back on track with Pulisic and Hutchinson. Udinese defeated. 0-2: they draw level with Roma.”
