However, Brakes goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo saved a penalty after the break to deny Whyte-Hall a hat-trick.
The save sparked an extraordinary comeback from Leamington as Chris Wreh and Kai Tonge scored injury-time goals to rescue a point for the Brakes.
Redditch broke the deadlock on 29 minutes when Whyte-Hall pounced on some slack defending to race in behind the Brakes defence and coolly finished past Okonkwo.
Whyte-Hall struck again less than a minute later to stun the Brakes after he latched onto a stray backwards header and rounded Okonkwo before finishing into an empty net.
And the Redditch forward had a chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot after he drew a foul in the box.
However, Okonkwo got down low to his right to tip Whyte-Hall’s spot kick around the post and keep the Brakes in the contest.
Leamington applied plenty of late pressure and scored what appeared to be a consolation goal three minutes into injury time.
Wreh nodded in a dropping ball from point-blank range after Rory Brown kept out substitute Iddriss Fuseini’s initial effort.
However, the Brakes struck again six minutes into injury time as Tonge ran onto a flick-on and kept his cool to finish past Brown when one-on-one and spark wild scenes of celebration.
Leamington are next in action against Needham Market on Saturday, October 17 with kick-off at 3pm at the Our Coop Community Stadium.
