Ange Postecoglou clamps Saudi reporter as ex Celtic boss delivers another mic drop moment after grilling

The Aussie was grilled by a local reporter over his tactics despite leading the Saudis to three wins on the bounce

Ange Postecoglou may have led Al Nassr to three wins on the bounce.

But that hasn't stopped Saudi journalists questioning the ex-Celtic gaffer's tactics.

And in classic Big Ange fashion, the straight-talking Aussie was having none of it.

Postecoglou is only four months into his reign in charge of the Saudi Pro League champions.

Already though, the Europa League-winning boss has been involved in a few run-ins with the Saudi press.

Local reporters haven't been shy in grilling the ex-Tottenham manager's tactics or handling of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

And this week, one journo decided to poke the bear again by questioning Postecoglou's use of Brazilian utility man Angelo Gabriel.

Versatile Gabriel, 21, has played as a winger, midfielder and No.10 for Postecoglou this season - producing four goals and four assists so far.

But after mainly sparkling as a central midfielder last season, one journalist probed Postecoglou on tweaking the youngster's position.

The reporter asked: "You change the tactics in many games. Every time, you change the tactic. Angelo played good in the position last year. Why do you change the position?"

And Postecoglou delivered a typically sarcastic response to the Saudi journalist's line of questioning - while having a light-hearted pop back at the media.

The 61-year-old responded: "Because I want to win games and we're winning games. So that's why. If we're losing then it's a different question. But we're winning, yeah? It's my job.

"I think after the last game we won, everyone said to me 'smile'. I think maybe you guys... just smile a little bit. We won, yeah? If you're not happy with us winning games of football... every game is different. It's a different challenge.

"Maybe today we could have won 3-0 or 4-0. We had enough chances, yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? Yes? So maybe if we didn't play well, we didn't create chances... maybe you can talk about tactics."

Postecoglou's side sit third in the Saudi Pro League after seven wins from their opening nine games.
