After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Fabrizio Romano says there is a 95% chance that JJ Gabriel will leave Manchester United, with talks already held about a move away.
The Red Devils have had a horror start to their season so far, with a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night making it five games without a win, with just two wins in all competitions all season.
Michael Carrick's side have also seen superstar teenager Gabriel demand to leave the club, and hand in an official request for his registration to be terminated, after pushing for more first-team involvement despite only turning 16 years old earlier this month.
A move to Europe is not a formality, with the player needing to obtain a European passport and his parents needing to show proof that they are moving abroad for non-footballing reasons before any move is given the green light.
But speaking in his latest YouTube video, reliable journalist Romano has revealed that despite the club hoping to change his mind, there is only a 2-5% chance of him staying with the Reds, with a move to La Liga now looking more and more likely.
"Also, the JJ Gabriel situation. Man United are at serious risk of losing one of the most interesting talents around, because the feeling around JJ Gabriel is that maybe, maybe United today have a 2-5% chance of changing the situation and keeping JJ Gabriel at the club.
"At the moment, I would say 5%, but 95% is for JJ Gabriel to go. Probably to La Liga, as I always told you. Since September, I think La Liga is going to be the destination for JJ Gabriel.
"It's the most likely now because, also, Paris Saint-Germain [has gone] cold, also Bayern [has gone] cold. So all these clubs make contact with people close to the player, with his family as well. But Real Madrid, Barcelona, these are the two clubs who keep talking on [a] regular basis with JJ Gabriel's camp and trying to understand if they can make it happen."
There was optimism in the summer that Man Utd could be about to turn a corner under Michael Carrick following his spell as the interim manager last season, and with INEOS completing a midfield rebuild.
But there was no left-back signing and no new striker signing, leaving the squad short of options in key areas of the pitch, and the results and performances so far this season have been awful for the most part.
Lisandro Martinez has now chosen to go to war with the club hierarchy in public, and is supported by some members of the squad, while GIVEMESPORT revealed that talks over a new contract for captain Bruno Fernandes have stalled. Mix that in with the fact the biggest talent to come out of the club's academy in decades wants out, and it screams that the club is in crisis.
