Bengals put Tanner Hudson on IR

The Bengals have opened up a spot on their 53-man roster as they return from their bye week.

They announced that tight end Tanner Hudson has been placed on injured reserve. Hudson’s agent announced last week that Hudson will miss the rest of the season after he tore his pectoral in Week 5.

Hudson had seven catches for 33 yards, including a touchdown in Cincinnati’s Week 5 win over the Dolphins. Hudson is in his fourth season with the Bengals and his eighth season as an NFL player.

Mike Gesicki, Erick All, Drew Sample, and Jack Endries are the team’s remaining tight ends. They could add to that number whenever they decide to fill the opening Hudson leaves on the roster.
