Man Utd head coach Michael Carrick needs a win of some description to ease the pressure.
The Red Devils were not able to get all three points against Leeds on Sunday afternoon, and they now face a tricky trip to Como in the Champions League midweek.
Carrick will want to see the same level of application out of possession he saw at Elland Road, or it could be a long evening in Italy.
Press the next page as we share our Man Utd predicted lineup for the match versus Como on Wednesday evening…
RB – Diogo Dalot – Leny Yoro is suspended, and it could lead to the Portuguese international being restored to his favoured position.
CB – Harry Maguire – the 33-year-old is unlikely to be rested like he was against Atletico Madrid due to the lack of alternatives. Matthijs de Ligt was back on the bench at the weekend, but the Dutchman hasn’t played for nearly 11 months.
CB – Ayden Heaven – the defender was ill on Sunday, but he could be available for the trip to Italy. His selection will depend on the availability of Lisandro Martinez, who picked up a thigh problem against Leeds.
LB – Noussair Mazraoui – Luke Shaw’s fitness remains up in the air, and the Moroccan has the most experience as a left-back, having played there on a regular basis for his country.
CM – Carlos Baleba – the 22-year-old and Santos could well form the base of the midfield in upcoming games, but that leaves question marks on where Kobbie Mainoo could fit in.
The England international missed the draw against Leeds, but he could well have to settle for a place on the bench once he returns, with Baleba impressing in his absence.
AM – Youri Tielemans – the Belgian has started to become a creative force now that he has been unshackled from his defensive responsibilities.
Mbeumo has had an erratic season in front of goal so far, but 4 goals and 1 assist in 10 appearances is not a bad return.
CF – Matheus Cunha – Amad was very poor against Leeds, and it may lead to another reshuffle in the front three, with the Brazilian coming back into the team.
LW – Bruno Fernandes – Marcus Rashford would be the logical choice to start on the left, but we can’t see Carrick dropping his captain, despite the fact that he is struggling for form.
