India's campaign at the Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan is all set to kick off from October 19. A total of 489 medal events will take place across 19 sporting disciplines as India aims to better its best-ever 109-medal haul (27 gold) from Hangzhou in 2023.
India had sent 309 competitors then, but has reduced its contingent to 168 athletes, with the build-up marred by selection controversies. With plenty of Paralympic medallists in the contingent however, hopes remain high.
