Settle Stingrays win four medals and break 21 records

Settle Stingrays Swimming Club had 12 top-ten finishes at the Yorkshire Winter Competition.

Pixie Graham put on an exceptional performance, securing top-ten finishes in six events.

She claimed the bronze medal in the 100m freestyle, two silver medals in the 100m butterfly and 50m freestyle, and a gold medal in the 50m butterfly.

This gold medal made Graham the 10-year-old Yorkshire Champion.

Despite her young age, she has already secured four qualifying times for the North East Regional Championships.

Sienna Bousfield-Evans also impressed, finishing sixth in the 50m freestyle and tenth in the 100m backstroke in the 11-year-old age group.

She will compete in six events at the North East Regional Championships.

In her first county competition, Evie Thompson achieved personal bests in all five events in the 9-year-old age group.

Bailey Graham, competing in the older age group, secured four top-ten finishes and will compete in nine events at the North East Regional Championships.

Her exceptional performances last season earned her a place in the Swim England Regional Development Programme for the second year running.

Head coach, Saoirse Behan, said: "This year was Settle Stingrays Swimming Club's most successful county competition, with our swimmers achieving a record number of qualifying times, top-ten finishes, and medals.

"I am so proud of our swimmers for their hard work and commitment in training, and I am confident that they will be rewarded with more success in the future."
