Fevrier has had to be patient at times since his summer switch from Stockport County due to Morishita and Dapo Afolayan’s performances out wide.
The 23-year-old made his first league start for Rovers against Wrexham and was unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet.
When asked about Morishita’s injury, Fevrier replied: “Mori has done really well this season and we wish him well on his injury and his recovery.
“But yeah, I do see that there's a gap in the team that I can come in and cement my place, so that's what I'm trying to do.”
Rovers returned to winning ways against Wrexham, continuing their positive form since the international break.
“It was a good team performance,” Fevrier reflected. “It kind of epitomises what we're trying to be as a team in terms of a high-intensity, out-of-possession team and a team that wants to get on the ball, create chances and play forward. It was a good win.”
On what was going through his mind when he found out he would be starting, the wide man added: “I think throughout my time here, I just knew I had to be ready whenever an opportunity came.
“So yeah, I was ready when the gaffer told me I was starting. I was excited and ready for the opportunity.”
The supporters at Ewood Park thought Fevrier had opened the scoring last weekend, cutting in from the right and curling a shot just wide of the far post.
“I think you will see that a lot this season, that is what I try and do,” he smiled. “I have got the quality to step inside and find the top corner, which I tried. I will try again and keep going, and hopefully they start going in.
“I have hit the crossbar and keepers have made a few good saves. I think I have just got to keep believing in my ability, keep shooting, keep getting in the positions to create chances and score.”
Andri Gudjohnsen bagged a brace against Wrexham, taking his tally to nine goals for the campaign after a prolific start.
Fevrier is enjoying playing alongside the Iceland international and admitted it makes life easier for the wingers when they have a striker in such lethal form to provide for.
“You know that you can cross it or put the ball in the box and he will be there somewhere ready to score,” he insisted. “It just gives us wide attackers confidence that we know we've got a striker who can score.
“He scores a lot in training in the little games we do and the finishing (drills). He's got really good quality.”
Next up is another tough test against a Swansea City side who are sitting in the automatic promotion places after a strong start to the campaign. However, the Swans were rocked by Queens Park Rangers last weekend.
“We know they are a good team,” said Fevrier. “They are at the top of the table for a reason.
“We know the challenges that they are going to pose. We just have to figure out how to eradicate that and go there to win the game.”
