Derek McInnes reveals Rangers illness blow for St Johnstone

Derek McInnes is facing a late selection concern after illness affected members of his squad in the build-up to the fixture.

Tuur Rommens has already been impacted, with the defender due to feature in a bounce game against Dundee in midweek before missing out through illness.

The issue has not been limited to Rommens, however, with McInnes revealing that one or two players who regularly feature could also be doubts for the St Johnstone clash.

That leaves the Rangers boss with some late decisions to make over his starting XI as he assesses the condition of those affected.

For Rommens, the illness also denied him the opportunity to get valuable game time under his belt in the Dundee bounce match.
