Norwich City owner hails Brewers' first World Series win

A 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in game five sealed the series for the Brewers, where Attanasio is team principal owner.

"This is a lot to take in," he said. "World Series Game Five, you win, you're on a podium, there's like 30,000 people in the stands screaming and cheering and there's another 30,000, 40,000 people at a watch party and there's probably over a million people in Wisconsin who care about this and were watching.

"So, it's all sinking in. They talk about world champs, you hear the Queen song (We Are The Champions), and we are. You can dream about it, you can think about it and nothing compares.

"Nothing compares to the experience."

A single from Cooper Pratt sent Brice Turang home to put Milwaukee ahead at the top of the second inning, before the Brewers added another score in the fifth off a David Hamilton hit.

They doubled their lead in their next at-bat through a double from William Contreras and Pratt’s sacrifice-fly.

The Rays were finally able to get on the scoreboard in the ninth, but Milwaukee’s pitcher Jacob Misiorowski slammed the door shut with a stellar effort on the mound.

He gave up just one run on four hits with three strikeouts and a walk over his five innings.

Chandler Simpson was the sole Ray to make an impact with the bat, sending Liam Hicks home off a double.

Milwaukee finished with a collective eight hits.
