Craig Mahon hopes AFC Fylde can make it a quickfire double as they visit a familiar face in round one of the FA Cup today.
The Coasters visit Harrogate Town for a match featuring the clubs sitting second and fourth in the National League table.
Harrogate are three points ahead of the Coasters, who are the only team to have beaten them at home this season.
That came seven-and-a-half weeks ago, when Tom Whelan and Luca Thomas gave Fylde a 2-1 victory.
“You would hope to think that’s in the back of their minds,” Mahon told the Gazette.
“On the flip side, they might want a bit of revenge.
“It will be a tough one. We played them a few weeks ago and they pressed the life out of us first half.
“We were under the cosh but were able to come out and implement our way.
“It’s going to be the same on Saturday but I feel we’re more prepared.”
Asked how they will be more prepared this time around, Mahon added: “With the calibre of players we’ve brought in since and our level of detail.
“It’s our analysis, where we can be better, where we can improve and how we can implement that.”
With today’s game having to be settled on the day, in the absence of FA Cup replays from round one onwards, it raises the prospect of the tie being decided by penalties.
“On one hand, you don’t have to worry about Tuesday nights, lads’ fitness and injuries,” Fylde’s head coach said of no replays.
“At the same time, if you’re playing Leicester City and there’s a chance of a reverse fixture then you’d love it.
“In terms of penalties, we’ve had a few step up; we let the lads decide who wants them.
“It’s difficult for the lads to be forced into something they aren’t comfortable with but we will practice them and I’ll take it from there.”
