Upcoming MSU football opponent loses star QB for remainder of season

One of the remaining opponents on the Spartans' 2026 schedule will be without their star quarterback for the remainder of the season.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning announced earlier this week that star quarterback Dante Moore will remain out for the rest of the season and not return for the Ducks. Moore has been out for the last three games after suffering a serious concussion against USC.

The injury to Moore has derailed the Ducks' season which was expected to be a year where they'd contend for a national championship. Oregon is 1-2 in the three games he has missed and have fallen to 4-3 on the season.

Michigan State will host Oregon in their final home game of the season on November 20. Michigan State has lost six straight games and is 2-6 this year, but with Moore no longer expected to play this year, maybe the Spartans could upset the Ducks in late November.
