The West Lothian club have 14 points from 11 matches and sit sixth overall with Arbroath two positions below them on 11 points from the same number of games.

The Lions have scored 14 goals, equal second highest in the league, and let in 11, while the visitors have netted on seven occasions and conceded 17, one less than bottom two, Greenock Morton and Queen’s Park.

A no-score draw at Dunfermline, who are fifth, last time out further dented Livingston’s hopes to returning to Scotland’s top league after being relegated last term.

They trail pace-setting Stenhousemuir by nine points and the Ochilview side have played a game less. Second-placed Partick Thistle have 22 points from their 11 games with Raith Rovers third on 21 points also from 11 starts.
