Lucy Bliss beat her first opponent 3-1 before Lexie Jones claimed another 3-1 success and the lady of the match award.

Bliss then battled back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 and remain unbeaten this season.

Montgomery & Radnor also edged the Under 18 section 4-3.

Jack Hughes opened with a 3-0 victory before Ryan S Jones recovered from a leg down to win 3-1.

Jack Price produced the section’s man of the match performance in another 3-1 success, while Oliver Williams and debutant Griff Davies both lost deciding legs.

Alex Howard was beaten 3-0 before John Bellerby secured the section victory with a 3-1 win after taking an early 2-0 lead.

Those results gave Montgomery & Radnor a 7-3 overall advantage heading into the Under 21 matches, where Worcestershire fought back strongly.

David Evans lost 3-1 before captain Harrison Cottle won a deciding leg in 15 darts to seal a 3-2 victory and the man of the match award.

Stephan Ross was beaten 3-1, while Ciaran Murray hit a 180 in a 3-0 defeat.

Sean Hamer then lost 3-2 as Worcestershire won the section 4-1.

Cottle’s victory ultimately proved crucial as Montgomery & Radnor held on for an 8-7 overall success.
