‘The Price Is High’ -- NFL Insiders Deliver Update on Pro Bowl WR’s Chances of Getting Moved Before Trade Deadline

Jerry Jeudy’s name has been at the center of trade speculation through the first half of the 2026 season, with the November 10 deadline just over two weeks away. Jeudy had gone without a reception in two out of the first three weeks of the season but is now slowly finding his footing.

The approaching deadline has only added noise to the trade rumors. Turns out, the Browns aren’t actively shopping the WR, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reported Sunday that the picture is more settled than the speculation suggests.

Browns Would Need a Premium Offer to Consider Moving Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland sits at 4-2 and leads the AFC North, and Jeudy contributed directly to keeping them there last week. He had a 33-yard catch-and-run against Baltimore in a 13-10 win, with his final reception of the game helping set up the game-winning field goal.

The trade talk around Jeudy stems from the emergence of rookies KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston as Deshaun Watson’s primary targets at wide receiver through the early weeks.

Their quick development reduced Jeudy’s role in Cleveland’s receiver rotation and, combined with his slow start on the stat sheet, created the impression that he could be available before the deadline.

Rapoport and Schefter reported that league sources view a Jeudy trade as less likely, given Cleveland’s standing in the standings and his attitude within the building. General manager Andrew Berry is open to fielding calls, but the insiders were clear on what any deal would require.

“The Cleveland Browns find themselves atop the AFC North with a surprising 4-2 record and plenty of promise. They reached that following a stirring win last week that included a clutch 33-yard catch-and-run from Jeudy, whose name has been the subject of plenty of trade speculation,” Rapoport and Schefter wrote.

They reported what sources are actually saying about the likelihood of a deal getting done before the deadline: “With Cleveland in the postseason mix and Jeudy maintaining a good attitude despite the emergence of rookies KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston at wide receiver, sources say his chances of being traded is viewed as less likely.”

“The Browns aren’t shopping Jeudy at all, and the price is high. It would take a premium deal to get Cleveland to move on — even if general manager Andrew Berry is open to discussing any deal. But as of right now, a Jeudy deal seems unlikely,” they wrote.

The 2024 Pro Bowl selection addressed the trade conversation when speaking to reporters recently and kept his answer short.

“I’m gonna keep that (in house). You know, we just, we keeping it day by day now,” Jeudy said.

The early stretch of the season was difficult for Jeudy. He caught two passes for 26 yards in a Week 1 loss to Jacksonville, then went without a reception in back-to-back games against Tampa Bay and Carolina as Concepcion and Boston took hold of the target share.

He has worked his way back into the offense since then. Three catches for 36 yards against Pittsburgh in Week 4 were followed by three more for 19 yards against the Jets in Week 5, before the Baltimore game brought his best outing of the season with four catches for 69 yards on four targets.

According to PFN’s NFL WR Impact metric, Jeudy ranks 69th among wide receivers through six games of the 2026 season with a grade of 70.4, having hauled in 12 receptions for 150 yards on 19 targets for the Browns.

Cleveland is in Nashville today to face the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
