Brandon Figueroa falls ill, Tomoki Kameda fight canceled

Brandon Figueroa has withdrawn from his scheduled fight with Tomoki Kameda tonight due to falling ill following yesterday’s weigh-in.

Figueroa was due to defend his WBA featherweight title against Kameda later in Las Vegas but was stripped of his title on the scales yesterday after weighing in at 127.4lbs – 1.4lbs over the 126lb limit. Figueroa was given one hour to lose the weight, but failed, weighing in again at 127.4lbs.
