Goal machine Erling Haaland is on holiday as Brighton and Hove Albion face Manchester City in the League Cup at the Etihad this evening (Wednesday 28 October).
Haaland’s absence is one of nine changes made by Enzo Maresca as the holders compete for a place in the last eight of the competition.
Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden and Floyd Samba will still all pose a threat though while Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler has made seven changes after the 2-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday (25 October).
Pascal Gross is to skipper the Seagulls as Brighton face City twice in four days in the north west.
Georginio Rutter is up front supported by Jack Hinshelwood, Diego Gomez and Malick Yalcouye, with Yason Ayari joining Gross in midfield.
Jason Steele keeps goal, with Jaouen Hadjam, Olivier Boscagli, Michael Svoboda and Joao Costinha in defence.
Yankuba Minteh and Mats Wieffer are back – on the bench – along with Lewis Dunk, Promise David, Maxim De Cuyper, Matt O’Riley, Ibrahim Osman, Luka Vuskovic and Bart Verbruggen.
Maresca has named Gerónimo Rulli in goal, with Vitor Reis, Marc Guehi, Rico Lewis and Nico O’Reilly at the back.
Ayyoub Bouaddi and Mateo Kovacic are in midfield, with Cherki, Foden, Allan Elias and Samba all posing an attacking threat.
The match is due to kick off at 7.30pm – and the quarter final draw is due to take place after the Liverpool v Chelsea tie.
Fleetwood are already through, having knocked out Premier League champions Arsenal 5-3 on penalties last night.
