Doncaster 0-2 Stockport

Stockport claimed a fourth consecutive league win as they coasted to a 2-0 triumph at Doncaster.

Goals from Mamadou Jobe and Kyle Wootton secured the victory for County, who were in control throughout the game.

While they dominated possession in the first half, Stockport struggled for clear chances after Oliver Norwood forced Rovers goalkeeper Tommy Simkin to push a chip over the bar.

Jack Diamond flashed a shot across goal in stoppage time with Wootton heading the recycled ball wide.

By 53 minutes, the visitors had the lead when Jobe pounced on a scramble from a corner to smash in from eight yards.

Stockport were further encouraged by the goal with Diamond particularly threatening.

The second came in the 59th minute when County were awarded a penalty after Ryan Glover was tripped by Leon Ayinde. Norwood saw his spot-kick saved by Simkin only for Wootton to race in and fire home the follow-up.

Simkin made a strong save to deny substitute Mikael Mandron while Isaac Hutchinson curled narrowly wide as Doncaster searched for a way back into the game.
