Bafana Bafana will host Kenya during their important 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on November 13 at 6pm.

They will then travel to Nairobi for the second match against the Harambee Stars, who are coached by South African legend Benni McCarthy, on November 17.

Coach Pitso Mosimane’s men go into the back-to-back matches at the top of Group D after they beat Guinea 2-1 in Johannesburg and thrashed Eritrea 5-0 in Egypt to start the qualifying campaign on a positive note.

During the previous Fifa open window, Bafana also beat Egypt 1-0 in an international friendly in Cairo, and those positive results contributed to South Africa moving to 48th spot on the Fifa rankings.

Bafana are also ranked 10th on the continent.

Mosimane is expected to announce the preliminary squad next week.
