Alex Pereira has worried his fans after he uploaded new training footage ahead of his big heavyweight clash at UFC 335.

'Poatan' returns to action at UFC 335 when he faces contender Sergei Pavlovich, who is on a three-fight winning streak, in a heavyweight bout.

He will look to get back in the win column following his crushing defeat to CIryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight title at the White House in June and has been sent a stark warning ahead of UFC 335.

The Brazilian, who was making his heavyweight debut in the UFC, was busted up on his feet and dominated by Gane, who secured a second-round stoppage.

But given the state of the division, with Tom Aspinall sidelined indefinitely, a win over Pavlovich could see Pereira back in the mix for a shot at the UFC heavyweight title, which will be contested between Gane and Josh Hokit at next month's UFC 334.

In just under two months, Pereira meets Pavlovich in a pivotal bout for the division, and he's preparing hard ahead of a must-win fight.

Ahead of stepping foot inside the famed Octagon, he shared footage of his camp, where he was put through his paces in a series of drills.

Pereira began by hitting the heavy bag before working on his ground and pound, showing off his elbows.

He also worked on his grappling with long-time training partner and former UFC champion Glover Teixeira, who can be seen attempting a takedown against the wall.

Pereira's fan-friendly style is adored by many UFC fans, having produced a series of highlight reel finishes.

But some people are concerned for the 39-year-old after watching his latest training footage, referencing his lack of speed.

The online MMA community feel Pereira has got a lot slower since his jump in weight and believe Pavlovich will get the win in Las Vegas.

One Reddit user wrote: "Wow that same 2 combos with his hands down again... buddy’s career is over. Going to heavyweight and worrying about social media too much ruined it."

A second argued: "This is probably after hours of training lol. Looks bad but he is one of the best in the world."

A third said: "Not to sound like a nerd behind a screen but as a long time fan of his it’s actually crazy to see how drastically slower he’s gotten since the heavyweight move, lhw was perfect for him because you can take one to give one without the risk like heavyweight. Hoping Sergei doesn’t chin him."

A fourth commented: "He's getting sent to the shadow realm, unfortunately," while another added: "Chama going back to sleep."
