Steven Borden made his return to AEW on the October 21 episode of Dynamite and immediately announced his presence for Blood and Guts. The son of WWE Hall of Famer Sting had been out of action since suffering a concussion at All Out.

Borden appeared alongside Darby Allin and The Young Bucks to help Adam Copeland and Will Ospreay fight off the Don Callis Family after their tag team match. Once the group cleared the ring, Borden grabbed a microphone and made his announcement, setting up a potential multi-man showdown at AEW’s upcoming special event.

This week’s Dynamite featured a tag team match between Copeland and Ospreay and the Don Callis Family duo of Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. Copeland and Ospreay came close to winning a few times.

However, interference from the outside eventually cost them the match. Kazuchika Okada appeared at ringside and distracted Copeland with his AEW International Championship. When Will Ospreay tried to deal with Okada, Fletcher took advantage of the opening. He drove Adam Copeland face-first into the championship belt and hit a brainbuster to secure the victory.

The Don Callis Family members continued attacking Copeland and Ospreay after the match, with Okada, Fletcher, and Knight eventually joined by Mark Davis, Jake Doyle, and Wardlow. The numbers became too much for Copeland and Ospreay.

Ospreay tried to fight back, but the group continued to overwhelm him. Fletcher even hit Ospreay with the AEW World Championship belt and raised it in the air to celebrate.

That’s when Darby Allin’s music hit. However, Allin didn’t come out alone. He introduced the returning Borden, who joined him and The Young Bucks in the fight.

They managed to turn things around, clear the ring, and force the Don Callis Family to retreat.

After that, Borden took the microphone and made it clear he wanted to take the fight to the Don Callis Family.

“I’m back, for Blood and Guts,” Borden declared.

AEW Blood and Guts is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida.
