Leeds United have been busy preparing to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, and Joe Rodon was spotted in the club’s training video alongside six Under-21 stars.
Rodon is entering the latter stages of his recovery from a muscle injury suffered in a 1-1 draw against Brentford. The injury occurred at the end of August, and there was a feeling it could be three months out.
After just two months, Rodon is close to returning to team training, and in the latest video, the squad is seen singing happy birthday to the Wales ace on the grass. It is likely he is off doing individual training.
The video uploaded to Leeds’ YouTube and App saw a big squad going through their paces ahead of the trip to Wearside, with fitness coach Chris Domogalla putting the team through an intense warm-up.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin among injury doubts for Leeds at Sunderland 😬 What changes are you making to this predicted XI?!
What followed were a couple of timed games, with six of Scott Gardner’s U21 side heavily involved. The likely names included Alfie Cresswell, Jayden Lienou and Rhys Chadwick, who often train at senior level.
Goalkeeper Rory Mahady was with Michael Zetterer and James Trafford, while Ollie Pickles and Callum Mills – who scored a hat-trick in the EFL Trophy recently – were also spotted throughout the video.
Unfortunately for Leeds, there was no sign of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor or Anton Stach in the training video ahead of Sunday’s outing. Stach and Calvert-Lewin both have foot injuries from last week.
There is a feeling that both could be involved, while Okafor has an adductor problem. A muscle issue that could be more of an issue for Farke and Leeds at Sunderland. All three are doubtful to play later today.
If they are all missing, it could be a new-look attack with Harry Wilson and Brenden Aaronson sitting off Lukas Nmecha in a 3-4-2-1. But Calvert-Lewin’s wife has suggested he is good to go on social media.
