Barrow AFC boss says 'more to come' from Latty-Fairweather

The 23-year-old left-back joined the Bluebirds in the summer and bagged the opening goal in his side’s 2-0 win at Gloucester City in Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay.

Murray said that, although the goals are great, he’d prefer the left-back to be focusing on the defensive side of the game.

He said: “Thierry's play has been great for us since he's come in. I think there's still a lot more to come.

“He hasn't got forward as much as he would have liked to in the role he plays, that's part of his development.

“If I'm being honest, in the second half he made a last-ditch tackle after we'd made an error, which was an all-saving tackle, which I thought was even more important than the goal. I think that shows the influence he had on the game on Tuesday night.

“Goals and assists are great, but clean sheets are more important in my eyes for him.”
