I was blown away by Celtic star and his 'world class' trait

The 20-year-old Celtic striker made a remarkable first professional start by scoring twice against Hearts.

Former Celtic striker Watt came across Osmand during a pre-season match against Partick Thistle and was immediately impressed by the young player's intelligence and timing.

Osmand's performance against Hearts was his most complete to date.

Watt said: "I seen enough of him last season to be excited. He works his socks off.

"But we played him in a pre-season friendly and his movement in behind, and I'm not exaggerating here, it was world class.

"His movement, I'm not saying he's a world class player, I'm saying his movement."

Osmand played on the wing with confidence before being substituted at half-time as a precautionary measure, having felt a twinge in his hamstring.

Watt hopes the injury is minor and believes Osmand possesses a rare quality.

"I'm hoping it's not an injury because the boy's struggled with injuries," Watt added.

Osmand, who made a significant impact last season with crucial goals against Rangers and Hearts, is in the Europa League squad and hopes to feature, fitness permitting.
