Barrow are eighth in the National League, just two points away from the play-off positions, after an impressive run of form has seen them rise up the table.

The club's 2-1 win at Tamworth last Saturday left many wondering where the side could be by the end of the season, but Murray was having none of it.

He said: “There's way too much time in games to be played to be even thinking about that. I think it's a big problem in football. Two weeks ago, we weren't very good and everyone was rubbish and nothing was going right.

“And then, after two weeks, people think we're going to win the Champions League. So, for me, it's a case of just win the next game.

“We've got a lot of work to do in terms of my messages to everybody, the fans and the club.

“Over the course of the last couple of months, nothing's changed. This has been a big rebuild of a job. We're still at the start of it.

“There's a lot of work to do and we're nowhere near where we need to be as a team and a football club. I'm not going to get carried away with a few wins. We're still in the infancy of what we're doing.

“The focus is just win the next game and let's see where that takes us.”
