Dralistico appears to be heading toward an exit from AEW, with his contract set to expire in December.
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline addressed Dralistico’s status after the La Faccion Ingobernable member and his brother Rush drew attention with a pair of social media posts. On October 19, Dralistico shared an edited photo of himself in handcuffs and behind bars in a post on X, with the caption “Maybe not for long?” Fans took the post as a sign that he wants to leave AEW.
“Regarding the Dralistico and Rush tweets we talked about last night: Dralistico’s AEW deal expires in December, and based on that tweet one would presume he wants out,” Alvarez wrote.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said Dralistico is not injured but is not being used. Meltzer also said Dralistico has limited options if he leaves, noting that CMLL likely would not welcome either brother back. On WWE, Meltzer said it would be a “tough fit” for Rush, pointing to the company’s level of control and Rush’s physical style. He mentioned AAA as a possible landing spot for Dralistico, where he could team with his brother Dragon Lee.
Dralistico, whose real name is Carlos Munoz Gonzalez, is the son of La Bestia del Ring and the brother of Rush and WWE’s Dragon Lee. He began his career in CMLL in 2010 under the name Dragon Lee before becoming the second Mistico in 2012. During his time in CMLL, he won the CMLL World Tag Team Championship, the CMLL World Trios Championship and the CMLL World Welterweight Championship. He left the promotion in 2021 and joined his father and brother Rush in La Faccion Ingobernable, also known as LFI.
He has worked on AEW and ROH programming for several years. His notable matches include an AEW International Championship challenge against Orange Cassidy in 2023 and an ROH World Championship match against Bandido in 2025. He missed time late in 2025 with an ear injury that required surgery and returned on the March 7 episode of Collision.
Dralistico leaving would not be a surprise. He has barely been used since his return from surgery, and a wrestler who is healthy and not on television is usually a wrestler who is looking at his options. The post on X was about as clear a message as he could send without saying it directly, and Alvarez’s read on it matches what most fans took away from it.
The bigger question is where he goes. Meltzer’s comments make it clear that the usual paths for a Mexican star of his level are not simple. CMLL is not expected to be an option, and Meltzer called WWE a tough fit for him. AAA, the WWE-owned promotion where Dragon Lee has appeared and which Meltzer mentioned as an option, makes the most sense for Dralistico if both sides can reach an agreement, and a reunion between the two brothers would be an easy story to sell.
For AEW, losing Dralistico would be a small loss on paper, but it would further thin out La Faccion Ingobernable at a time when Rush cannot work. The group has not been a priority for months, and with one brother likely leaving and the other unavailable until 2027, AEW has little reason to keep it going in its current form.
