Federico Chiesa’s switch to Liverpool hasn’t worked out at all. Some details about a possible exit are emerging from Italy.
The Italian’s season has been marred by injuries, due to which he couldn’t feature during pre-season either. He has made just a single appearance in the Premier League, featuring for just two minutes against Manchester City.
Sport Witness have tracked how Italian clubs did make initial enquiries about him but a deal never went through. Late in the summer transfer window, interest from clubs failed to translate into a formal approach.
As things continue to get worse for the player, a transfer is being talked about once again.
Tuttomercatoweb report that AC Milan and Lazio made enquiries about the Liverpool player. The attacker has been clear about staying in England and making a mark in the Premier League.

Things can now change and the Reds can play a role in changing Chiesa’s mind.
They could soon have a meeting with the player about an exit. They will discuss the idea of a January departure and the Anfield club can try to convince him about a move to Italy.
This is especially because Liverpool themselves can open doors to his exit. Their valuation for the ex-Juventus man is unknown but Italian clubs will be open to an initial loan with an option to buy.
Inter Milan have been monitoring him closely and if Luis Henrique departs in January, the Nerazzurri’s move for Chiesa can’t be ruled out.
Chiesa has struggled from a physical standpoint in the Premier League. This can reduce the chances of him finding another English club and he should give up hope of staying in the Premier League.
Talk around Italian interest has never gone away, though. He is now 28 and he has disappeared from the Italian national team’s radar too. That became one of his main paths to fame during his spell at Juventus.
As a result, Chiesa now needs to push for a departure, as things are clearly at rock bottom now.
