The New York Knicks are set to hold their Banner Night on October 20, which will include their 2026 championship-winning team collecting their rings.

The Knicks clash with the Philadelphia 76ers to kick off their first season as defending champions in over five decades.

Key names like Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson and center Karl-Anthony Towns are expected to feature in the game and also collect their rings at the ceremony.

Several now-former Knicks stars should also be in attendance to collect their prizes, with Mitchell Robinson the only one not able to do so.

Mitchell Robinson won’t be available for New York Knicks ring ceremony

Robinson joined the Knicks back in 2018 and played an important role in their NBA Finals win over the San Antonio Spurs.

However, he has now departed, signing a three-year, $47.4 million contract with the Boston Celtics in July.

The Celtics are playing the Detroit Pistons on October 20, so Mitchell will have to wait until March 2027, when the Knicks host the Celtics, to collect his ring.

Elsewhere, there are four more former Knicks players who were part of the side in 2025/26 who should be in attendance on Tuesday to get their rings, even though they no longer play for the team.

Dillon Jones joined the 76ers after departing the Knicks earlier this year but he was waived on October 17.

MORE NEW YORK KNICKS STORIES

The Portland Trail Blazers confirmed this past weekend that they had waived Jeremy Sochan.

Meanwhile, Trey Jemison III was officially waived by the Toronto Raptors on October 14.

Finally, Ariel Hukporti joined the 76ers over the summer so he was going to be at the season opener anyway. But he will play no part in the on-court action, as he has ruptured his Achilles tendon and will miss the entire 2026/27 NBA season.

As a result, every player barring Robinson should be collecting their championship rings on Tuesday.
