The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) play the Florida Gators (5-2, 3-2 SEC) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 31, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia-Florida game will be televised on ABC.
Georgia is favored by almost two touchdowns against Florida. Both teams are coming off bye weeks and are looking to stay in the College Football Playoff and SEC championship hunt.
The Bulldogs have won five straight games in the series, but looked far from invincible in their 27-24 home loss to the Auburn Tigers before their bye week. Florida notched a major 27-24 road upset win over the Texas Longhorns in their last outing.
Both of Florida's top two quarterbacks Tramell Jones and Aaron Philo are questionable to play, so the Gators do have a major injury question entering the Georgia game. It could be some gamesmanship from Florida, but if either Philo or Jones is good to play, then Florida will be in good hands.
"I have a lot of respect for this team (Florida)," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. "Coach (Jon) Sumrall has done a great job of putting a lot of energy into the program and a lot of physicality into the program. They play really hard. When you turn on the tape, you see the physicality they play with on both sides of the ball. I have a ton of respect for both coordinators."
Georgia is a 12-point favorite against Florida. ESPN's matchup predictor, which factors how teams have performed, football power index (FPI) and other important data, gives Georgia a 82.1% chance to defeat Florida. The Gators have just a 17.9% chance of pulling off the upset against Georgia.
