After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Liverpool icon Dietmar Hamann believes that Florian Wirtz has no long-term future at Anfield after his struggles since signing.
The Reds splashed a then-club-record £116m to sign Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen ahead of Bayern Munich and other top European clubs, believing that he was one of the top number tens in world football.
But since arriving, the Germany international has registered just seven goals and 13 assists in 58 appearances for the club in all competitions, while his level of performance hasn't been anywhere near what was expected when he arrived.
Jamie Carragher has regularly criticised the playmaker, claiming that he should be dropped from Andoni Iraola's side in order for the team to flourish more without him, but he has continued to start under the Spanish boss despite concerns over his form.
And while speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, via Betpack, former Liverpool and Germany midfielder Hamann admitted that he doesn't see it happening for the 23-year-old in the long term.
“In terms of Wirtz and his time in a Liverpool shirt, it's been tough, and I wanted to see Iraola get the best out of him," he said.
"The manager said when he came in, he would play in the number 10 position, but his performance hasn't been better than last season.
"I know how talented he is and what he is capable of, but I think he has lost all faith and belief in his abilities. I don't think he believes he can cut it in the Premier League. I don't see it happening for Wirtz at Liverpool."
Who got more assists?
Round 1 of 9
There is plenty of hope at Anfield that Wirtz will be able to rediscover the form he had at Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso and after, that had many people considering him to be one of the best attacking midfielders in the world.
But with each passing performance that disappoints, that becomes less and less likely, and the Reds will surely have to begin considering their options if there are no signs of things turning around for him.
Hamann believes that if things don't work out at Liverpool, then it's likely that his future will lie away from England and the Premier League, so he is now beginning to run out of time to really make it happen in the best league in the world.
