Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for the game against Ferencvaros, and he has gone with a young team as expected.
Defeats to Benfica and Bournemouth have left Milan needed a turnaround in the Europa League to keep alive their top eight hopes. There are five games left to salvage things, the first of which comes tonight against a Ferencvaros side full of confidence.
The Hungarian outfit have won all three of their games in the competition so far, and they are 20 games unbeaten across all competitions, so this will be far from straightforward especially with the necessary rotation.
As has been the case for some weeks now, the list of absences is long. Mike Maignan is suspended, while Strahinja Pavlovic, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alexis Saelemaekers, Matteo Gabbia, Pietro Terracciano and Samuel Chukwueze are all out with various knocks.
The back four that Amorim has chosen to go with is Filippo Terracciano, Koni De Winter, Sankhoun Diawara and Davide Bartesaghi. Given that Maignan saw red in Bournemouth and will miss this one, young goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriano will be between the posts.
Omari Hutchinson and Alphadjo Cisse are set to operate in wide roles, and the midfield double pivot is Yunus Musah and Ardon Jashari. Adrien Rabiot will play a bit ahead of them, closer to the centre-forward Goncalo Ramos who badly needs a goal or two.
